What do you consign?
At Consigning Women, our goal is to provide high quality clothing and accessories for women of all ages and sizes. We accept clothing for both men and women in our Mt. Pleasant location. Our Avondale store only accepts clothing for women. Fashion that can take you from work, to play and to that special event. All merchandise will be selected based on our 15pt checklist. See below~
Basic guidelines:
Freshly laundered, pressed and on hangers
Free of stains and damage
Current styles, typically less than 2 years old
All sizes from 0 to 28, petites and plus. Men's clothes in all sizes.
Formal wear: Tuxedos, prom dresses, cocktail, mother of the bride/groom dresses
Clothing: Casual sweaters, blouses, pants, skirts, shorts, jeans
Business wear: Dress suits, pant suits, blazers, jackets, sportcoats.
Jewelry & More: Designer inspired jewelry, costume jewelry, sterling silver, watches, bracelets, etc. Even VINTAGE!
Accessories: Gently loved and new handbags (designer bags must be authentic), shoes, sandals, boots, belts, scarves and shoes.
High end mall store brands or better. We do not accept items from Old Navy, Casual Corner, Walmart, Kmart or other discount stores.
How is the item is priced?
We price the items to sell with pricing that is fair to both buyer and seller. Our goal is to sell your items for maximum profit and as quickly as possible. Our staff sets the price, based in part on their knowledge of the local markets, as well as researching prices on the Internet. Factors such as brand, style, age, condition, demand, and past selling history all affect the price we will ask. We encourage you to point out expensive and unique items, as we will work with you on the pricing of these special items. The consignor receives 40% of the selling price.
How do I consign my items?
We accept items Monday thru Friday from 10-6; Saturdays by appointment only.
You may bring your items in and you may either donate items we cannot use or
pick them up after 3 days of us calling you.
IT IS FREE TO CONSIGN, WE DO NOT CHARGE A CONSIGNMENT FEE!
What happens to my unsold items?
Your items remain on the floor for 60 days, after that they will be donated in your name. Evening wear, designer bags, and Couture may be retrieved on the 60th day, otherwise they will be donated.
How am I paid?
Sales are posted at the end of the month. You may check on your account anytime after the 1st of the month on items sold the previous month. You may check your account in either location.
